Ok so I have been here twice and So I am MASHING these two reviews into one. I came here once with Andrew, Teena (I mean she ditched us at the very beginning), Jennifer and then another time I came with Jennifer.
Choc Nut Shot – 4/5
tastes so good. If i said its watery nut juice would that entice you? try it out. ok I didn’t take a photo but this is from the website
Laing W/ Chips – 4/5
This was a so good. The chips had some density to it that provided some nice texture with each bite. The sauce/dip was so nice I added it to other dishes. It’s a nice treat def recommend getting this.
Ube Ice cream – 4/5
It is sooo good. It has a sort of crystallized texture while also creamy. It’s kind of giving like melted and refrozen but somehow in a intentional and amazingly good way. Like how is it creamy and also grainy??? is that the UBE? it’s gas not too sweet. lmfao my photo of this is so bad like why even post this might as well have been of my feet
Kare Kare – 5/5
Its so funny the photo on the site for this is NOTHING like what it looks lie in person. IMO mainly referring to the protein. Anyways GAS tender not too chewy savory and a slight peanut taste. It’s really nice with the side of rice. Big chunks of meat def worth getting.
Pork skewers – 3.7
It’s cooked really well and seasoned nicely but it’s just BORING. It is a SOLID option though.
CLUB 95 or 85 – 4.2/5
ok I am not going to go off on this. I thought they would have this item on the menu still when I got home and they didn’t so like this is going to just be recommendation that this decent to get to try a lot of stuff. Everything here was pretty good.
Price – 2/5
It’s expensive AF and esp for filipino food. I may be biased because I grew up eating this stuff at home and so like seeing someone charge 35 for KARE KARE is interesting. I get it we are in NY and meat is pricey. AM i a GRANDPA for remembering the times. maybe. Anyways it’s def not cheap. I wouldn’t recommend this for people trying to be frugal
Experience – 4/5
The music choice is pretty fire. The SERVICE is really nice and they’re chill. The interior design is fun and modern with a lot of Filipino/tropical flair to it. I enjoy just being in this restaurant. I would definitely come back.
ok ok ok I will def try to start reviewing RIGHT away so this fiasco doesn’t happen again (This is month 4 of me saying this). Bro yesterday my surgery rotation was HORRIBLE oh my gosh. oh well I ranted about it earlier and don’t feel like doing it again here but man oh man.
