Gigi recommended this place and it looked decent enough so I suggested we go there for a birthday dinner for Saria.

French Fries – 4/5

The French fries had a nice crunch outer layer and a soft/fluffy center. The sauce was nice a somewhat decent aioli / red mayo. Nothing like OUTSTANDING but def above avg with good quality ingredients and good technique. But overall p boring.

Scallops – 5/5

Texture was so good. Not chewy just easily separates with each bite. Not stringy. Just a solidly cooked scallop. The accoutrements were very nice and fun and honestly were kind of random. But the sauce was just so good and creamy that I didn’t really care. Like it looks very fun and pretty but I have no idea what the point of it was other than it tasted good.

Kibbeh nayyeh – 5/5

What a wonderful experience. I usually hate beef tartare but this has changed my mind on the dish completely. It is such a nice texture and the flavor is subtle, complex, dynamic depending on what toppings you use. You could mix and match and each combination will be a good time. This was such a FUN dish and TASTED so so good. I loved it.

Lamp chops – 3.8/5

Not the biggest fan. It was def made correctly but I was not really entertained by this dish. It was boring but I guess not bland. It had some flavor to it. The meat was minorly tough. I will not be getting it again. Looks somewhat pretty though.

Meatballs – 4.2/5

The sauce for this is MAGNIFICENT. I thoroughly enjoyed it and even put it on PITA bread, on my hummus, my baba ganoush and more. It is so good. Just getting this for the sauce is prob worth it. The meatballs were like good very forgettable tbh. Like it is merely a VESSEL for the sauce. Bro I deadass didn’t even remember that it came with that yellow stuff on top. no idea what that was.

Hummus 4/5

Creamy / strong flavour of chickpea I guess not much else / I think it was just like a well done hummus nothing too mind blowing.

Baba Ganoush 4.3/5

Creamy texture with slight clumpyness / solid flavour some baba ganoushes have this like BITTER tinge to it but this did not that may be a ME thing though.

Eggplant chips – 4.3/5

Really good strong umami flavour that you can just through on the pita or some rice and enjoy.

Lamb Shawarma 3.7/5

Ok yes it is a bad photo BUT TBF I didn’t take this photo.

A lot of meat in this shawarma. It’s like an above average shawarma in terms of quality of meat and it’s like seasoned decently. But it’s like the Pita is the best part and you get that with the table already so it’s just like some meat and some veggies in a good pita. The meat itself is not anything special or nice but it’s a solid shawarma I guess but I won’t be getting it again.

Fried Beef Kibbeh – 3.5/5

Ummm. IT’s fried meat covered in bread. Nothing special and it wasn’t dry I guess. The white sauce it came with made it decent I guess but at that point it was just an edible spoon for me to eat more white sauce.

Baklava – 2.5/5

It’s cute but it wasn’t tasty at all. It’s just not dry which is pretty hard to do apparently considering the amount of dry hard baklava’s I’ve had. I would not order this again but I wouldn’t say no EVERYTIME this particular one was offered to me.

Price – 3/5

It’s def expensive but not like prohibitively. I wouldn’t come here every week.

Experience – 4.2/5

It’s very pretty. The service is very good. The outside is decent and its fun seeing people its in a very busy place. The food was good but I’m not geeking to come back anytime soon. Maybe to go try out the fish but who knows.
