One of my favorite cafes in all of NY as of July 2024 Will try to rate every single item here – Will update photos as I get them

I usually do like a GET THIS section in the intro but so many things are worth trying here but anyways

Recs : ADENI CHAI / Pistachio Cake / Pistachio Latte / Ginger MILK (IF YOU LIKE GINGER)

Adeni Chai with cream and sugar (MY FAVORITE)
10/10 can chug it all day

Creamy
Slightly sweet
Makes me very happy when I drink it

Santa’ ani
5.5/10 with cream and sugar

It’s like slightly sour and slightly sweet no body / slightly grainy and as you drink more it gets more grainy
It does not invoke happiness while I drink it
It isn’t BAD enough to not drink but I am not in a rush to finish it.
The cardamon is not really doing it for me

Ginger Milk (4.5/5)

Tastes like ginger and milk
Very strong ginger but if you can power through that initial SLAP its p nice comforting drink

Tomato olive croissant (3.8/5)

its p nice TEXTURE not there at all but the flavor is nice its a nice savory treat to have in the morning

Spinach pie

Good amount of spinach
Bread texture isnt really nice its really soft not my pref
Flavor though is very nice

Golden Basbousa (3.8/5)

Solid slightly sweet nice lil treat prob will get if I want something sweet and eating not drinking but dont want the cake

Pistachio cake – 4.5/5 – its a little too sweet PARA MI PARA MI PARA MI

TOP TIER DESSERT
Sweet slight umami VERY SLIGHT
White chocolate compliments moist insides well

Triple chocolate Jabal Baber (4/5)

SWEET exterior texture is nice and its p cold
Moist insides – not TOO sweet def worth getting with your coffee

Vegetable samosa (3.8/5)

Taste is nice

Like it’s super good p creamy but like if I was going to come here and wanted something sweet I’d probably just get the adeni chai . ITs a super solid latte ngl def worth getting unfortunately they have a better milky sugar drink

Lemonade iced lavender

Not that sweet a lil sour its p solid for a lemonade I guess
Not really doing anything crazy special or unique I also dont like lavender

PRICE ( 3.6/5)

You get a lot of tea for the price and the pastries are a bit pricey but they’re well worth it. VALUE wise though its not like a CHEAP place but you can def get some good cash/drink ratios if that’s your goal. like the lemonade is EXPENSIVE the tea is alright because you get like 5 small servings with it (pretty much just like 2-3 normal servings).

Experience (4/5)

There are a lot of seats you can come and study here for hours. The service is really good and they answer all your questions and the artwork in the front is pretty nice. The chairs and tables are able to be moved around and there are a good amount of outlets. So from a STUDYING perspective its top tier with the below avg internet. The inside is like very boring tbh and like not comfortable seating areas and its hella COLD. Wish they sold more savory stuff but it is filled with a lot of SWEETS.
