Took a walk over to crown heights for breakfast somewhere random. Turned out to be a very solid place to get breakfast. Sorry I messed up and didn’t post this monday I messed up the scheduling,

Chorizo and Egg Tacos (4.3/5)

yo this stuff was magical and p nice. The tortilla just has like a little bladnness to it but that SALSA IS FIRE. The filling amazing and juicy. Its got good wetness and a good amount of it too.

Beef Empanada (3.7/5)

solid. nice with the chimchurri?? and the pickled tomato and onions. nothing crazy but really good. Breading is slightly thick on the edges but hey what can you do (make it not thick maybe)

Cornbread muffin (3.5/5) the icing is a (5/5)

corn bread isn’t corn breadding. The icing is fuego though. The corn bread is just dry and has a HIGH corn flavour.

Breaded Chicken sandwich (4.3/5)

really nice. airy bread. nice smashed avocado slightly seasoned. good filling. The chicken has a nice well seasoned breading. The chicken is juicy and the sandwhich is pretty easy to eat. Its not a messy sandwich so kudos to them for that. This is a pretty nice ride to flavour town.

Maple Latte (3/5)

standard latte with oatmilk. wasn’t horrible. wouldn’t get again

Cappuccino (didn’t have it lol)

Guava and Cheese (3.2/5)

The breading is kind of thick but the combo of guava and cheese is fire so it’s hard to mess up( they did mess up a bit though). wish that the breading wasn’t so not good. despite the bad breading the filling carries.

So I literally just chose a random place because I wanted to eat breakfast with Michielle before she left to go see her family. Didn’t look at any reviews and was pleasantly surprised. Crown heights seems to have a lot of really good restaurants in the area. Like solid 3.5-4.3 places.

service here is pretty solid. The water situation is funny because it has like two pails of water and you just pour yourself but like two glasses of water take up like half of the water supply. So don’t be thirsty here I guess.

Display for the desserts pretty nice. There is a lot of seating too. It looks like people come here to do some work too.

Price (3/5)

It is not as expensive as other places. NY prices but its not that bad. like that sandwich was 13$ which I have seen something smaller and less edible cost near twice that amount. Id give this place a even better rating for price because the more trendy spots of Brooklyn are pricey.
