I came here with Austin, Uma and Andi.

Uma and Andi did a couple day pit stop and was so gracious to bless Austin and I with a couple of appearances. ANDI did not like this place I had to add

Stir Fried Salted Fish Clams and Chives 4/5

This with some rice was so good. It’s pretty salty and saucy.

Wings – 4.5/5

Yes I got wings. Yes they were gas. Juicy / full of flavorful and Thick

Honey Walnut Shrimp 4.3/5

Big ass juicy thick shrimps with not too much breading and the sauce wasn’t too sweet. I ate all the walnuts and broccoli too.

Mapo Tofu – 3/5

P basic. Not that spicy which I appreciate but also kind of bland which I don’t appreciate

I do think I have higher standards for mapo tofu though. So maybe slightly harsh.

Peking Duck 3.5/5

Good amount of meat. Was cold??? But the duck was really nice. Good ratio of fat. Not too lean or dry but not overly oily.

Pork Shumai 3/5

Basic dim sum but with an appreciable texture so that’s nice.

Scallion Pancake – 2/5

Bro this was something else like not like any scallion pancake I’ve ever had. Not a fun time tbh.

General Tso’s Chicken – 2.5/5

This was interesting. Didn’t even taste like general Tso’s Chicken

Braised Pork Belly 3.5/5

Pretty decadent. Decent amount of veggies under the braised pork. This with the fried rice was pretty decent combo.

Bacon Fried Rice – 3/5

This was a decent vessel for the sauce of the mapo tofu or the braised pork belly.

Fried Salt and Pepper Fish 3.3/5

Not that many bones. Crunchy salty and some decently sized fish. I could snack on this. But it does lose its allure p quickly.

Experience – 2.5/5

Not really a great or a bad experience. It’s decently fast service and they honestly just forget about you so Idk take that with what you will

It’s not a good value.

OK so first of all. I am not offended that Andi didn’t like MY CHOICE of uncle Lou. Why did I recommend this place? To be honest It was a time crunch. Other places were crowded and there was no prep time. I think uncle Lou is decent for some items. (Honey walnut shrimp and the chive clam salad and the wings). It’s not 100% AUTHENTIC sure sure sure I will write an article about my opinion on that.

Now they are leaving and I can’t even redeem myself this is terrible. Maybe next time.

Anyways… It was fun seeing Uma and Andi.
